Basic Entry Requirements
The basic entry requirements vary based upon the training program in which the student would like to enroll. For instance, if a student is interested in enrolling in a bachelor’s degree program at one of the state’s universities, they should have decent grades on their high school transcripts as well as good ACT or SAT scores.
If a student is interested in enrolling in a master’s program, they should already have a bachelor’s degree. Their bachelor’s degree may be in a field related to business or customer service, but it can be in another field.
If an individual is interested in taking a customer support-service program that is provided by an entity that caters to group training, they should speak with their employer. Employers set-up these seminars, and there are no requirements for employees to take them.
Expected Costs & Duration of Programs
Earning a bachelor’s degree takes about four years. However, some students take three to five years to complete these degrees. The cost varies from institution to institution.
For example, the tuition at the University of North Dakota is $7,092 for a resident of the state. It is approximately $17,000 for a non-resident. However, Minnesota residents pay a rate that is much closer to that charged to residents. Graduate students pursuing a master’s degree can expect to pay about $7,500 per year if they are a resident and about $18,000 per year if they are not residents. However, these numbers do not take into account living expenses or books.
The cost of group customer support & service training sessions also varies. Businesses should expect to pay between $2,000 and $6,000 for these sessions. The cost is dependant upon the number of participants involved, the length of the session and other factors. These courses are usually delivered onsite. However, if the business has to rent a larger facility for their seminar, they will incur additional costs.
REMEMBER: Whether you wish to earn a master’s degree or just devote an afternoon to a seminar, there are several different customer service training courses in North Dakota from which you can choose. In spite of its relatively small population, this state offers a wealth of educational opportunities. Many graduates also find it to be an attractive place to live after graduation.
